ROAD SCHOLARS

One woman took a group of African American at-risk teenagers on the road throughout the South in 2009 to interview older Black men about their lives, hoping it would save them from becoming another statistic. Documentary follows the boys’ stories into adulthood as they come of age in a post-George Floyd world and reunites them for new dialogues with the men who once served as mentors and cautionary tales.
