The Double Shift uses compelling narratives of working mothers to explore big topics like how to change workplaces that ignore mothers’ needs or create whole new models for work. We’ll look at how factors like racism, money and faith affect our life choices. We’ll look for solutions to seemingly intractable problems working mothers face by learning from and celebrating those who are breaking the mold with unconventional choices, creative thinking and more. We won’t fall into well-trod stereotypes; the vision of The Double Shift is that working mothers are the coolest people on the planet, not a group to be pitied or ignored. Humor, anger, heartbreak and surprise will be an important part of the podcast.
